Don’t Leave Your Baskets Empty This Winter

We hope that your summer hanging baskets did well.  As the plants start to fade, why not take advantage of refreshing the basket by having a member of our team plant up the basket with autumn/winter plants.  Simply just bring your empty basket and discuss your choices with a member of staff.

Popular choices of plants are Pansies, Violas, Primroses, Polyanthus, Cineraria ‘Silver Leaf’, trailing Ivy and Lysimachia ‘Goldilocks’. In sheltered areas try Miracle Cyclamen, which come in a wide colour range and are hardy down to -2°C.

To give a little height, place in the centre a dwarf conifer such as Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘White Spot’ or a dwarf shrub such as Euonymus or Skimmia.

Finally why not add in some dwarf bulbs to give you a spring surprise.

Figo 10-Pack Connectors

These ingenious gardening gadgets make light work of creating re-usable garden growing frames and structures. The little green rubber widgets, when used with suitable natural or metal canes, are easy to use and you will be making wigwam frames, netting covers and much more in no time.   Take a look at these connectors here.

They are available in 3-way or 4-way options and, for better value, as a 10-piece pack (pictured).  The flexible rubber means they can adapt to almost any thickness of cane or metal plant support.
